Sessa Aurunca, ITALY
On Good Friday, at sunset, the marching band sings the notes of the funeral march and the procession leaves the church of San Giovanni. The parade of black hoods slowly walks through the streets of the town carrying the statues of mysteries, the cross, dead Christ and the three Marie. At the bottom of the procession, a lot of women carry heavy candles and pray to Christ to receive the grace. Everywhere shine the lights of bonfires.
On Holy Saturday two processions walk unified in a single big parade: the greens and the reds carry two groups of statues, the Deposizione del Cristo and the Vergine Addolorata.
